Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the conference “Personalised Approaches in Child Endocrinology – Celebrating 50 Years of Silesian Paediatric Endocrinology,” which will take place on September 17 – 18, 2026, in Katowice.
This event serves as a special celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Department of Paediatric Endocrinology in Katowice – a center that, for half a century, has provided dedicated care to children with endocrine disorders and significantly contributed to the advancement of paediatric endocrinology in Poland. Our goal is for this conference to be more than just a jubilee gathering; we envision it as a dynamic forum for discussing modern, personalised care for paediatric patients.
The first day, conducted in Polish, will be dedicated to practical workshops. We will focus on essential topics for daily clinical practice, including anthropometry and dysmorphology in paediatric endocrinology, communication with intersex and transgender patients, and the treatment of childhood obesity.
The second day, conducted in English, will feature the scientific symposium, held in a hybrid format with the participation of distinguished international experts.
The program will cover key contemporary issues, including:
• Differences in Sex Development (DSD)
• Obesity and lipid disorders
• Growth disorders and metabolic bone diseases
The program will also include a Young Scientists Session, featuring case reports and research presentations, with an award for the best contribution.
We cordially invite all professionals interested in these fields – endocrinologists, paediatricians, family physicians, and residents in training. Beyond the high merit of the scientific program, we are committed to fostering a friendly and open atmosphere that encourages the exchange of experiences and meaningful dialogue.
